EVOLUTION: PROBABLE OR PROBLEMATIC?
Jay Seegert, B.S. Physics, A.S. Engineering Technology, gave a presentation titled “EVOLUTION: PROBABLE OR PROBLEMATIC?" Certain aspects of evolution occasionally seem fairly plausible to many people… even Christians. If we use our imagination, we can envision fish slowly turning into amphibians, with their fins gradually being transformed into legs and their lungs adapting to breathing air.
However, when we take a closer look at what actually has to go on inside (in the DNA) we see a very different picture. It’s like looking under the hood of a beautiful red sports car only to find that its engine is completely missing! Presenting some cutting-edge information about DNA, this presentation clearly demonstrates (in laymen’s terms) that molecules-to-man evolution is virtually impossible.

NOAH'S FLOOD AND THE ICE AGE
Tibor Lak, B.S. (Engineering), will gave a presentation titled, "NOAH'S FLOOD AND THE ICE AGE - COMPELLING EVIDENCE FROM THE GREENLAND ICE SHEET PROJECT II (GISPII)".
About our speaker: Born in Budapest, Hungary, Tibor received a B.S. degree in Engineering from UCLA. He is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in Propulsion System design and operation. Tibor is currently retired after 45 years of experience in the design and analysis of propulsion systems. During this time he supported various programs from the Apollo mission to the Moon, to the Space Shuttle, and Next Generation Launch Vehicle designs. More recently Tibor provided technical guidance in the design of the Antares Rocket fueling system launch complex for Orbital Science. He also served as Failure Review Oversight Board member on various launch system failure investigations.
Tibor was instrumental in the design and operation of the Space Shuttle main propulsion system from the initial concept to operational phase. He has written numerous fluid and thermodynamic models of the various aspects of propulsion system operation for NASA. Tibor received the Engineer of the Year award from Rockwell International in 1990, and was elevated to the position of Boeing Technical Fellow in 1998. He currently holds 11 U.S. Patents related to propulsion system operational improvements.

DON RICHARDSON
Don Richardson, missionary and author of "Peace Child", "Lords of the Earth," "Eternity in Their Hearts," and "Secrets of the Koran," shared some of his unique cosmological insights, which serve as a backdrop to his newest book, a science fiction novel titled, "A Man from Another World."
About our speaker: Canadian born Don Richardson and his wife, Carol, a nurse, trained at the Prairie Bible Institute and the Summer Institute of Linguistics to become missionaries. Don and Carol accepted the challenge to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Sawi nativesof Dutch New Guinea. In 1962, they, with their 7-month old son, moved in among head-hunting cannibals, a Stone Age people group isolated from the outside world, whose culture honored treachery as a prized virtue. While Carol ministered to the people's medical needs, Don concentrated on learning Sawi vocabulary and grammar, rendering a written language, translating the New Testament into Sawi, and teaching the Sawi how to read. Along the way, Don discovered that God has placed in every culture one or more "redemptive analogies," that serve as cultural bridges, enabling people everywhere to understand and receive the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Don's latest book involves seeking out a redemptive analogy that may resonate with the culture of modern scientism.

Guess what! There is no standard agree-upon definition - probably for deliberate reasons.

David Coppedge, B.S. (Physics with honors), B.S. (Secondary Education cum laud), gave a recap on NASA's completed Cassini Mission to Saturn, highlighting things learned about the planet Saturn, its rings, and its moons. The Cassini spacecraft crashed into Saturn on September 15, 2017.

Professor Andrew Charles McIntosh is a Visiting Research Professor at the University of Leeds, England, where he has lectured and researched in the field of Combustion and Explosions for over 20 years. His research has included investigations involving fluids (the interaction of pressure waves with flames) as well as solids. In the area of heterogeneous combustion he is interested in the safety of reactive substances, which can include traditional fuels such as coal, but also may include agrochemicals, some of which are now being used widely to increase crop yields, but in bulk can have unusual ignition properties. Unusual chemical behavior is also being studied in collaboration with industry, with a view to developing carbon capture reactors for energy generation.
In the last few years Professor McIntosh has been involved in research in the area of biomimetics where the minute combusion chamber of the bombardier beetle has inspired a patented novel spray technology. This led to research first sponsored by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), followed by extensive funding from industry to apply the technology to fuel injectors, pharmaceutical sprays, aerosols, and fire extinguishers. Professor McIntosh is a trained mathematician and has worked in aerodynamics at Cranfield University and the Royal Aircraft Establishment (Bedford) before going to Leeds where he gained a DSc in 1998 and a personal chair in 2000. He became a Fellow of the Institute of Physics in 2002 and in 2003 was elected a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He has over 180 publication in Journals and Conferences and has lectured widely internationally on these subjects and on the scientific question of origins on which the discipline of thermodynamics has a fundamental bearing.

CREATION SCIENCE IN EASTERN EUROPE IN 2017
Dr. Joseph Kezele, M.D., gave a presentation titled, "CREATION SCIENCE APOLOGETICS AND EVANGELISM IN EASTERN EUROPE IN 2017."
This talk detailed Dr. Kezele's recent three week whirlwind tour of the Ukraine, speaking to universities, churches, and youth camps, and also shooting a series of creation videos targeting the Russian-speaking world.
About our speaker: Joseph Kezele studied the sciences and music at the University of Arizona, while earning his B.A. in Russian in 1971, and his M.D. in 1975. He then completed a Pediatric Residency and practiced Emergency Medicine for 25 years in the Phoenix area, and was a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. About our speaker: Leonard Brand is Professor of Biology and Paleontology in the Department of Earth and Biological Sciences, at Loma Linda University. He received his PhD at Cornell University in 1970 and has been on the LLU faculty since then. He teaches courses in paleontology, vertebrate biology, and philosophy of science. His research focuses on the processes of fossilization and the geological factors that influence preservation of fossils. He has published over 35 scientific research papers and numerous articles in church publications. He has published three books, which have been translated into one or more other languages. He has received a Zapara Award for Distinguished Teaching, a best student paper award at national meetings, and a Distinguished Service Award from LLU. His strongest long-term interest has been developing a Bible-centered approach to the integration of faith and science.
The new 3rd edition of the textbook, "Faith, Reason, and Earth History: A Paradigm of Earth and Biological Origin by Intelligent Design," by Drs. Dr. Brand's first example of how the Bible can inform research dealt with the origin of track ways in Coconino Sandstones of the Grand Canyon. Conventional wisdom declares the Coconino Sandstones were laid down as sand dunes in a dry, desert environment, millions of years ago. But, the Bible's account of Earth history suggests a chronology of only thousands, not millions or billions of year. This constraint makes the Genesis Flood the best candidate for both the laying down of sediment deposits and the channeling of the Grand Canyon. This perspective drives questions that never occur in the conventional paradigm. These include, "Can animals leave such finally detailed track ways in desert sand dunes as are found in Coconino Sandstones?" Experiments demonstrate they cannot. However, experiments also demonstrate that amphibians walking on underwater sand waves can and do leave precisely the kind of finely detailed track ways found in the Coconino.
The Bible informs research in places where other worldviews do not even think to look, and thereby inspires scientific discovery.

Description: The issue of Global Warming (GW), now referred to as Climate Change (CC), has received a lot of attention in the press. The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has issued its Fifth Assessment Report. The IPCC claims that GW is occurring at a rapid rate, that GW is largely due to the increased burning of fossil fuel, and that we face dire consequences if we don’t cut back on greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere. The Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) has concluded that Nature, not Human Activity, rules the Climate. We explore the science behind these different conclusions.
GW alarmists tell us, in effect, that “the end is near” unless drastic state-imposed restrictions are imposed now on our consumption of CO2 emitting fossil fuels – despite God’s promise to Noah – Gen. 8:22. Other climate scientists claim that any GW is largely due to natural causes such as sun irradiance, the El Nino phenomenon in the Pacific Ocean, the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, etc. This raises some legitimate questions – 1) What are the facts? 2) What is the appropriate biblical perspective? 3) Should we be concerned? and 4) Is there another agenda?

TEXTUAL EVIDENCE SUPPORTING GENESIS

Because of the foundational importance of Genesis, it is not surprising that the forces of unbelief have attacked the book which shows us who God is, who we are, what our problem is and God’s solution to that problem.
As humanistic theories of the enlightenment gained control of Europe in the 1650s, the intellectual classes of Western society were convinced by the 1800s that the world was vastly older than indicated by the Bible. Charles Darwin, building on the skepticism concerning the plain teaching of Genesis on the earth’s age was able to bring about an abandonment of the traditional interpretation of Genesis in favor of a full-fledged evolutionary paradigm and a non-theistic world view.
The reign of evolution/long-age theory was a major factor in turning Western culture from Christianity to naturalistic humanism. Higher critical theories of scripture assumed evolutionary development and negated supernatural revelation, shredding the normal understanding of biblical truth.
Because Christian institutions of learning nearly always accommodated the Bible to “scientific” claims rather than such claims to the Bible, Christianity has lost its message and its authority in the minds of most of the world’s population. Dr. Lehman will show not only the lack of support but the impossibility for this progressive creationism both from the Bible and from true science.

J. David Lehman was born in Des Moines, Iowa sometime in the last century and has been steadily growing older ever since without ever actually reaching maturity. He attended public schools, where he distinguished himself by not getting in nearly as much trouble as he would have if the authorities had been aware of everything. Dave went to the University of Minnesota where he majored in Engineering and wrote lengthy scholarly papers filled with sentences that even he did not understand. He graduated and eventually got a job with McDonnell Douglas designing fighter planes for Iran, Israel, Germany, Japan, and the U.S., which could make it a little confusing for the ground crew should these countries ever go to war. He then graduated from Grace Theological Seminary where he managed to bluff his way through four years of Hebrew and four years of Greek without ever actually learning either. He now holds two Ph.D.'s but so far nobody has been able to guess what they would be in. He taught HVAC Engineering at Purdue University, which included equipment sizing and construction estimating using Timerline software. He does consulting for HVAC engineering projects from time to time.
He taught Creation to college students at Calvary Chapel but after a year of trying to get his students to stop writing things like, "Enclosed pleasel find the enclosed enclosures," he eventually realized that it was hopeless. So, in 2012 he decided to go on the radio with a talk show, which has been getting a lot of traffic, yet another indication of the worsening drug crisis.
Dave has written a number of short but harmful papers including: Understanding Women, and, Humility and How I Attained it. Reviewers have commented that, "they contain a tremendous amount of whitespace.:

He was a senior research scientist for 10 years in pharmaceutical and medical/scientific instrument fields, served as president and technical expert in an independent computer consulting firm for many years, and taught 20 years in universities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, California, and Europe. Since "retiring," he has done consulting, speaking, and writing. He has made presentations across the US and on most continents. Dr. Johnson is the author of Programming of Life, and consulted for and was featured in the outstanding documentary films, "Programming of Life I," and "Program of Life II.".

PROGRAMMED FILLING AND SPECIATION
Dr. Joseph Kezele, M.D., gave a presentation titled, "PROGRAMMED FILLING AND SPECIATION: HAVING FUN WITH DOGS."
This is a fun talk featuring dogs that first makes the distinction between species and the “biblical kind”. It then reviews what Scripture has to say about Noah’s flood and the animals, each “according to its kind”. Artificial selection (breeding) and then natural selection and programmed filling are discussed, explaining how natural selection is believed to happen by evolutionists, and how genetics demonstrates programmed filling. Then the post flood world, including the single Ice Age is presented, with the explanation of how that brought about the environmental pressures to trigger rapid speciation. A final contrast is given between the demand of evolution for new information to be added to an initially very small gene pool by random chance events through mutations causing the development of new kinds, and the biblical concept of starting with a large gene pool, which is divided by migration and natural selection leading to loss of genetic information to cause change within each kind.
About our speaker: Joseph Kezele studied the sciences and music at the University of Arizona, while earning his B.A. in Russian in 1971, and his M.D. in 1975. He then completed a Pediatric Residency and practiced Emergency Medicine for 25 years in the Phoenix area, and was a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is now retired from the practice of medicine, serves as President of the Arizona Origin Science Association, is Adjunct Professor at Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, teaching Human Genetics, Cell and Molecular Biology, Pathophysiology, Organic Chemistry and Creation Science Apologetics. Dr, Kezele has also been named a Logos Research Associate. He serves as Chairman of Deacons and teaches Creation Science Evangelism at Black Mountain Baptist Church in Cave Creek, Arizona. He has participated in over 20 foreign mission trips, teaching medicine, standard evangelism and creation science evangelism in India, Zambia, Mexico, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Armenia. Dr. Kezele is one of the principle presenters in the Institute for Creation Research’s 4 DVD series Made in His Image. He is scheduled to return to the Ukraine this May for three weeks to teach a series on Creation Science Evangelism as part of the activities prompted by the proclamation of the President of the Ukraine recognizing the 400th anniversary of Martin Luther sparking the reformation in Germany.
