We watched a video by Dr. Jason Lisle titled, "THE SECRET CODE OF CREATION."
Using Mandelbrot fractals as a showcase, Dr. Lisle demonstrated that there is more to reality than the material universe of matter and energy. Beneath the physical cosmos lies a universe of abstract entities, patterns, and relationships, discernable to human minds, reflecting the Mind of God.

We watched the movie "PRIVILEGED PLANET" by Illustra Media, which makes the case that Earth is not only specially suited to host life, but that it is specially suited to host inquisitive, intelligent life, enabled with the faculties and unique viewing platform to explore an intelligible Universe.

About the speaker: Steve Austin has a B.S. from the University of Washington, an M.S. from San Jose State University and a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University, all in geology. He successfully defended a Ph.D. thesis which proposed an unconventional theory for the origin of coal. Shortly thereafter, Mount Saint Helens exploded, blasting an an entire forest of broken trees into Spirit Lake and providing a massive scale laboratory demonstration of Steve's theory at work!
Steve was a contributing member of research programs which proposed and popularized the theories of Catastrophic Plate Tectonics (CPT), and Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth (RATE). Steve's professional memberships include the Geological Society of America, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Society for Sedimentary Geology, the International Association of Sedimentologists.
Dr. Austin has had professional, peer-reviewed projects at Mt. St. Helens and within the Grand Canyon. He has done extensive research on a mass kill of nautiloids within the Redwall limestone of the Grand Canyon, radioisotopes of Grand Canyon rocks, and earthquake destruction of archaeological sites in the Kingdom of Jordan. Ongoing research includes biblical earthquakes recorded as seismites in Dead Sea sediments. Dr. Austin has published research in the prestigious, peer-reviewed journal International Geology Review.

ANOTHER BITTER-SWEET PASSING
Veteran researcher and explorer of Mt. Ararat, John T. McIntosh passed through Heaven's gates on Friday, February 19. Longtime president of SEARCH FOUNDATION, John McIntosh served at least 15 expeditions in search of Noah's Ark, either as a research consultant, or as a climbing participant. The Creation Science Fellowship of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa helped sponsor John's 2005 expedition, one which ended badly when John fractured his ankle breaking a high-speed sliding descent down a steep glacier.
(Personal note: Following a long night lying on the ice, dodging sliding boulders on the steep glacier, some the size of small cars, John was rescued and evacuated by a Turkish Army helicopter that entrusted itself to a temporary updraft in order to hover in the thin atmosphere. He was flown to a hospital. Following surgery and preliminary recovery, John flew home to California. I, Jim, had the honor of picking him up at the Ontario Airport and driving him home to his mountain cabin in Crestline. Along the way, I received a full throttle, hair-raising account of John's wild adventure!)
Over the years, John gave several outstanding presentations to the Creation Science Fellowship.
Fellow Ararat explorer, Rex Geisler, writes, "John McIntosh went to be with the Lord on Friday from an apparent heart attack. As was his great interest, John was working hard on a PowerPoint Presentation for one of his church's new ministers along with helping his great friend Dick Bright on Dick's new book. John was to visit Palm Desert and play some games with church friends Friday afternoon. When he did not answer his phone, his older church friend Frank visited him at his mountain apartment. There was no answer. Frank called 911 and a Sherriff's Deputy came and pushed in John's air conditioner to the floor to gain access. The deputy was too big to fit inside but could see John's body on the floor. Frank went through the window and unlocked the door. A life-long bachelor, John is survived by his sister in Indiana. There may be a celebration of life [at] their church."
John was Information Central for all things Noah's Ark. And he was a good friend to many. He will be sorely missed.
On the bright side, I'm pretty sure John now knows the EXACT location of Noah's Ark. If only he were allowed tell us!

Helmut Welke, MS, gave a presentation via ZOOM titled: “DIGGING FOR DINOSAUR FOSSILS." In 2018 Helmut and his wife, Thea, went on a Dinosaur fossil dig in Montana. They and the group dug up real dinosaur fossils, as well as fossilized turtle shell and a fig. This presentation explained what it was like with numerous pictures and accounts of finding real fossils. It included what was found and how they learned to clean up the fossils in the lab. What it takes to form a fossil is also discussed.
An interesting highlight was a discussion of the characteristic arched neck, back, and tail of dinosaurs whose bones are found still articulated. (Most dinosaur fossils are found dismembered and well-mixed with the bones of other other creatures, often including fish.) Articulated skeletons generally display the arched neck, back, and tail forensically associated with death by drowning.

Helmut is a recently retired engineering manager with a Fortune 100 company. He holds BS and MS degrees in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois and has held positions in a variety of national and international assignments. He is a certified engineering manager, and in 2006 was elected to the board of trustees of IISE - an international society serving the Industrial and Systems Engineering profession. In 2012 he was honored as a “Fellow” of the IISE society.
Helmut is also president of the Quad-City Creation Science Association. Founded in 2008, they are dedicated to telling the truth in science education. He is a member of the Creation Research Society and has recently been named an Ambassador/Speaker for Logos Research Associates.
In recent years Helmut has become a popular speaker on Creation Science topics as well as Atheism and Intelligent Design. He has spoken to churches, youth groups, on college campuses and to civic organizations throughout the USA, but also in France, Germany, Hungary, and Poland.
Polls indicate that over 2/3 of Evangelical Youth walk away from the church after college. But this statistic reverses dramatically when high school youth are exposed to quality creation science materials before high school graduation. Our churches need to provide the apologetics and training to overcome the atheistic teaching to help the next generation develop a Christian worldview and the Biblical convictions that last a lifetime.

Description: The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) claims that Global Warming (GW) is occurring at a rapid rate, that GW is largely due to the increased burning of fossil fuel, and that we face dire consequences if we don’t cut back on CO2 being released into the atmosphere. The independent Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) has concluded that Nature, not Human Activity, rules the Climate. We have identified at least sixteen reasons how and why the GW claims made by the alarmists are not substantiated by the evidence, and that CO2 cannot possibly drive GW. GW alarmism is not supported by the facts and is not warranted.

Since then he has worked in the telecommunications and computer software industries at Bell Telephone Laboratories in NJ and at Interactive Systems Corporation in CA – as an individual contributor and in management positions. In 1992 Dr. Lycklama formed Open Systems Technology Associates (OSTA) and offers his technology management consulting services to various start-ups in the high technology industry. In 2013 Heinz founded the Apologetics Forum to help equip believers in the defense of The Faith.
Challenged in his Christian faith by what he was taught in university in the 1960’s, Dr. Lycklama has always maintained an active interest in the Creation v. Evolution controversy. As his children reached school age and began to ask questions about what they were taught in school, he became more involved in researching the topic of Creation v. Evolution. He has developed a series of lectures on this topic over the years and presented the material in Sunday school classes, to college students, during church services, at Bible Schools, and other venues in Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Cameroon and Thailand, as well as in Canada and the USA.
Dr. Lycklama has taught through a number of the books of the Bible over the years, including Proverbs, Esther, Job, Jeremiah, Daniel, Romans, Philemon, Hebrews, Revelation, and various Psalms and Minor Prophets – in Sunday School and home Bible studies. In 1992 Dr. Lycklama formed Open Systems Technology Associates (OSTA) and offers his technology management consulting services to various start-ups in the high technology industry. In 2013 Heinz founded the Apologetics Forum to help equip believers in the defense of The Faith.
Challenged in his Christian faith by what he was taught in university in the 1960’s, Dr. Lycklama has always maintained an active interest in the Creation v. Evolution controversy. As his children reached school age and began to ask questions about what they were taught in school, he became more involved in researching the topic of Creation v. Evolution. He has developed a series of lectures on this topic over the years and presented the material in Sunday school classes, to college students, during church services, at Bible Schools, and other venues in Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Cameroon and Thailand, as well as in Canada and the USA.
Dr. Lycklama has taught through a number of the books of the Bible over the years, including Proverbs, Esther, Job, Jeremiah, Daniel, Romans, Philemon, Hebrews, Revelation, and various Psalms and Minor Prophets – in Sunday School and home Bible studies. His teaching includes topics such as prophecy, angels, heaven, Biblical Worldview, cults, culture, Y2K, and various Old Testament prophets. Over the years, he has served as a member and Chairman of various Missions Committees as well as Elder/Deacon Boards.
With his knowledge of the Bible, and of science and engineering, Dr. Lycklama has continued to develop and present new material on the Creation v. Evolution controversy [heinzlycklama.com/creation]. Dr. Heinz Lycklama earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics (1965) and a Ph. D. degree in experimental Nuclear Physics (1969) from McMaster University in Canada. Since then he has worked in the telecommunications and computer software industries at Bell Telephone Laboratories in NJ and at Interactive Systems Corporation in CA – as an individual contributor and in management positions. Due to technical difficulties, the January 2, 2021 meeting of the Creation Science Fellowship meeting was canceled. We referred our followers to a meeting conducted earlier in the evening at the Creation Science Fellowship of Calvary Chapel WestGrove titled, "INFORMATION: THE BASIS FOR LIFE." (< CLICK to watch.)
The January 2 meeting was canceled due to: (A)Jim Pamplin's possible exposure to the CCP Virus. (Subsequent testing was negative); and, (B) Jim Pamplin's failure to press the email blast SEND button after preparing the notification. This was not discovered until late Saturday afternoon.
